WATCH: Kidney Transplant Recipient Sings 'Let There Be Peace on Earth'

An 8-year-old kidney transplant recipient has a simple, yet important, message this Christmas: Let there be peace on earth.

Angelica Hale, who is a second grader from Alpharetta, spent weeks at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) before the hospital said she received the gift of life.

"She is a true delight and just a sweetheart" CHOA told FOX 5. "Her mom was her donor."

CHOA said it was Angelica's love of singing that helped pull her through months of recovery.

"A patient whose voice is rivaled only by her courage."

Angelica recently teamed up with the hospital's employee choir to sing "Let There Be Peace on Earth" in the garden of CHOA's Egleston hospital.

Monday night, CHOA shared a video of the performance on Facebook.

"This video was created as a way to celebrate the spirit of Children's patients, with the hope that their ability to find joy and create peace, in even the most unlikely of places, will inspire others to do the same," the hospital said.
