Want To Be An FBI Agent? Here's How!

The job starts with an annual salary of more than $71,000 but if you're applying for it you're typically not in it for the money. We're talking about becoming a special agent in the FBI. Long considered one of the most elite and respected law-enforcement organizations in the world. There was a job fair today near the FBI headquarters in Westwood and I spoke to one young man who is interested in helping people in his new career so he was applying.

He'd spent years in the military already like the concept of structure but also was interested in the challenge and the idea of doing something different and not being in a 9-to-5 office job. Of course to be an FBI Special Agent is difficult ; you have to have a four year college degree have three years of work experience ,never have had a felony conviction.

You cannot have "experimented "in their words with marijuana in the past three years or used any hard drugs in the past 10 years , you have to go through a series of tests and extensive background checks that literally could go back to your elementary school friends and teachers. Less than 20% of all applicants make it and by the way you have to be between 23 and 36-years-old, unless you're a veteran then you get a little more leeway. Good luck!
