Two People Struck By Stray Bullets In Del Rey

LOS ANGELES (CNS/FOX 11) A man in a vehicle and woman walking on the sidewalk were struck by stray gunfire Friday as suspects in two vehicles opened fire upon one another in the Del Rey section of West Los Angeles.

The gunfire was reported about 5 p.m. in the 4700 block of Slauson Avenue, said Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

Both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital, the man after driving himself to the LAPD's Pacific Station near the intersection of Centinela Avenue and Culver Boulevard, Im said.

Police were looking for two suspects, both men in their early 20s, and two vehicles, one possibly a silver Toyota Camry and the other possibly a dark sedan, Im said.
