Trader Joe's recalls pistachios for Salmonella risk

Wonderful Pistachios issued a voluntary recall of several varieties of pistachios due to risk of Salmonella. They were sold under the brand names Wonderful, Paramount Farms, and Trader Joe's in the United States and Canada.

The Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture are working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other public health agencies to investigate the outbreak.

Recalled products can be identified by a lot code number that can be found on the lower back or bottom panel of the package.

There have been 11 reported cases in nine states, including Minnesota, resulting in two hospitalizations. No deaths have been reported.
