Teen Seriously Injured In Santa Ana Hit-And-Run

SANTA ANA (CNS/FOX 11) - A boy in his early teens suffered life-threatening injuries in Sunday morning in Santa Ana when he was struck by a car that left the scene, police said.

The victim, who is around 14 years old, was struck about 8:20 a.m. near the intersection of Fifth and Fairview streets, according to Santa Ana police.

The boy was found lying in the northbound lanes of Fairview adjacent to the east sidewalk. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and then taken to a hospital, police said.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle and collision investigators recovered evidence that indicates it was a black 2001-2006 BMW 300 series equipped with an M series sports package.
