(FOX 11) - A Virginia woman's obituary is going viral for its tongue in cheek political statement about the 2016 presidential election.
"Faced with the prospect of voting for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, Mary Anne Noland of Richmond chose, instead, to pass into the eternal love of God on Sunday," Noland’s obituary read Tuesday in the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Noland died on May 15, 2016 at age 68 after a long battle with lung cancer, according to NBC12.
Her husband Jim Noland told the station that one of her sons wrote the opening line as a way to carry on her sense of humor -- and not as a serious parting shot at either candidate.
Noland described his wife as "feisty, strong and compassionate."
