VIDEO: Is this flying hoverboard the one we've all been waiting for?

(FOX 11) - French jet ski champion Franky Zapata posted video on YouTube of a hoverboard -- that actually hovers.

The jet-powered device, dubbed Flyboard Air, shows Zapata floating above a body of water. It can supposedly reach a maximum height of 10,000 feet and has enough power for a 10 minute flight.

The video was posted April 9 by Zapata Racing, the company behind the original water-powered Flyboard.

But is it real?

According to GizMag, the device appears to be powered by a jet turbine engine and a wearable fuel tank and allows Zapata to fly untethered. However, the company says it's still in a prototype phase.

Video of the Flyboard Air posted to YouTube had already reached more than 2.1 million views as of this writing.

However, some are skeptical on whether the hoverboard is actually real or just wonderfully shot and edited.

Several users have posted on Zapata Racing's Facebook and YouTube videos claiming the Flyboard Air is fake and the video doesn't actually show him landing.

"You poor fools! This is a fake. Looks good though," one user wrote. "If in doubt just think about the science for a moment and why haven't the military got hold of it!!"
