New Rand Report says lack of sleep is costing America billions of dollars

A new study says not getting enough sleep at night is having a negative financial impact on America.
According to a new report from Rand, lack of sleep leads to less productivity and not just that, also an increased risk of death.

That is estimated to cost the nation's economy more than $400 billion dollars per year.

A good night of sleep is between seven and nine hours.

But for those who sleep less than six hours, the risk of death, whether from illness or disease goes up 13 percent.

Out of the five countries studied Americans sleep the least... Followed by Japan.

For better sleep, researchers suggest doing more physical activity and staying off your phone or computer before bedtime.
