McDonald's debuts new coffee drinks, to launch bottled coffee

McDonald's is making a big play in the coffee game-- introducing three new espresso drinks to its menu and announcing a line of bottled coffee drinks to be sold in stores.

The fast-food giant announced Wednesday that it is partnering with Coca-Cola to introduce ready-to-drink McCafe Frappe beverages in Caramel, Vanilla and Mocha flavors. The bottled drinks will be available nationwide in retail stores beginning in 2018.

Coffee giant Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts also sell ready-to-drink bottled coffee drinks in stores nationally.

McDonald's is also debuting three new espresso drinks in addition to re-crafted lattes and mochas. These include: the caramel macchiato, cappuccino and Americano.

The new drinks are being sold for $2 for a small drink for a limited time at participating locations.
