Ken gets a more realistic 'Dad Bod' in response to Curvy Barbie

Curvy Barbie, meet Dad Bod Ken.

After Mattel recently debuted Barbie's new body types -- tall, curvy and petite -- many people on the Internet called for an equally realistic version of her male counterpart.

In response, graphic artist Jamie Phillips stepped up and created a mock-up of diverse Ken dolls for the fashion ecommerce site Lyst.

The line features a Beach DadBod Ken in Bermuda shorts, Bearded Hipster Ken in a flannel and skinny jeans and Balding Ken with a beer belly. The dolls are also various heights, skin tones and hair textures.

The team looked at the most popular fashion products men purchased in the last year and used that as a reference, the company said.

"We've been inundated with requests for us to produce and sell the dolls, which gives a real insight into the appeal of the more diverse Kens," Katherine Ormerod, Lyst's editorial director, told Mashable. "Hipster Ken seems to be the favorite by a long way. We think it might be down to the pin-up Barbie tattoo on his forearm."

While the new Ken looks are just concept visuals, the company is apparently considering producing the dolls.

In the meantime, you can even buy the life-size version of Ken's clothing on Lyst's website.
