'Johnson & Johnson' to pay record $417 million in baby powder lawsuit

'Johnson and Johnson' walloped with another massive settlement over talcum powder.

A jury in Los Angeles has ordered 'Johnson and Johnson' to pay a record $417 million dollars to a hospitalized California woman who is dying from ovarian cancer.

She filed suit claiming the cancer was caused by the talc in the companies iconic baby powder which she used regularly for feminine hygiene for more than 40 years.

'Johnson and Johnson' said they will appeal the decision.

But the company has already lost three other trials in St. Louis totaling over $300 million in damages.
