Dancer gets 'on-pointe' with prosthetic leg

A young dancer who lost part of a leg to cancer is back on stage thanks to a new device that helped her get up on the tips of her toes.

Gabi Shull was nine when one of her legs was amputated at the knee due to osteosarcoma. Her first prosthetic let her walk, but she couldn't get "on-pointe" -- a must for any dancer.

So she told her prosthetist that she wanted a foot that allowed her to dance on-pointe.

No-one knew if the device he came up with would work.

This video shows her putting it on for the first time and immediately getting up on-pointe -- much to everyone's surprise.
