Dairy Queen releases 'Singles Blizzard' for Valentine's Day

Forget drowning your sorrows in a large pizza and tub of ice cream on Valentine's Day. Dairy Queen has a special treat just for all the single people out there!

Introducing: The Singles Blizzard.

The treat aims to serve "as a rally cry for a relationship status," featuring salted caramel truffles, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and peanut butter topping blended with DQ soft serve ice cream.

Dairy Queen says the blizzard isn't about pitying single people. Instead, it wants people to OWN their single-dom.

"Valentine's Day is a time to celebrate love and happiness no matter your relationship status," Dr. Joseph Cilona tells DQ, a licensed clinical psychologist, personal and executive coach and author. "Americans are breaking the cliche of the 'sad single' with only six percent of singles actively opposing the holiday. In fact, 82 percent of Americans are in favor of a more modern definition of the day that celebrates all kinds of love, including love of self."

If new research about singles on VDAY doesn't make you proud to be single, the new Singles Blizzard will. #BreakTheCliche

The Singles Blizzard is available through the month of February.
