A winning Illinois lottery ticket turns out to be a loser -- for one woman.
A state appeals court has ruled Tykisha Lofton can't keep a $50,000 jackpot.
The appeals court says the jackpot will go to the state because the ticket was bought with drug money.
Police found the lottery ticket while raiding a home where Lofton lived with her boyfriend, Terrance Norwood.
He's now doing time for drug dealing and other offenses.
The Herald and Review reports the appeals court overruled a lower court decision that the money should go to Lofton.
