'McDonald's of the Future' opens in Missouri with unlimited french fries

- All-you-can-eat fries, you say?

A "McDonald's of the Future" opened this week in Missouri, offering self-serve kiosks for ordering meals, table service, couches and armchairs -- as well as unlimited french fries.

"Unlimited fries are just the beginning of what's different about [this restaurant]," Chris Habiger, the owner of the Missouri-based restaurant told the St. Joseph News-Press. "We're making a shift from fast food to fast-casual."

The new, 6,500-square-foot location lets customers custom design their burgers and chicken sandwiches, according to St. Joseph's News-Press.

The menu offers a variety of grilled options and special sauces, such as pico de gallo and guacamole, according to FOX 2.

There's also a dessert bar with " a plethora of cones and topping options."

"We wanted to bring a modern and progressive burger and breakfast restaurant to our community and I think we have," Habiger said.
