Police: Brother attacked for not saving Big Mac for another

FINLEYVILLE, Pa. (AP) - State police say a western Pennsylvania man irate that his brother ate three Big Mac sandwiches without saving him one beat the brother and ransacked the home they share.

Online court records don't list an attorney for 47-year-old Thomas Veres, who remained in the Washington County Jail on charges of simple assault and harassment Wednesday.

Troopers from Belle Vernon say they were called to the Union Township home the suspect shares with his brother, 58-year-old Matthew Veres.

Police say Veres returned home Wednesday about 2:15 a.m. and went into a rage over the sandwich, knocking over appliances and furniture and throwing food. Police say Veres also beat his brother, bruising the man's right eye and left cheek and cutting his ear.

Online court records don't list an attorney for Veres.
