The shirt was apparently designed in collaboration with rapper A$AP Rocky and is also for sale online.
One shopper posted a photo of the shirt on display at a PacSun store, writing: "So disrespectful for Memorial Day weekend."
Several others have described the shirt as "disgusting" and "insulting," because an upside-down flag is used as a signal of dire distress. According to the U.S. Flag Code, flags are only meant to be flown this way "in instances of extreme danger to life or property."
PacSun had not made a statement regarding the controversial shirt at the time of this posting.Copyright 2015 FOX 11 Los Angeles | Download our mobile app for breaking news alerts or to watch FOX 11 News | Follow us on Facebook , Twitter and YouTube.
