Officer arrested after allegedly watching porn, fondling self on duty

CAMDEN, S.C. - (AP) -- Authorities say a former Camden police officer has been arrested after he watched pornography and fondled himself while in his patrol car at a park.

The State Law Enforcement Division said in a warrant that 41-year-old Marshall Hardin II was charged Friday with misconduct in office.

Agents say someone saw Hardin park his cruiser at a Camden park while on duty on Dec. 13 and touch himself sexually while watching the video on his personal cellphone. SLED says Hardin then exposed himself and went to a bathroom.

Hardin is facing up to 10 years in prison if convicted. It wasn't known if he had a lawyer.
