(FOX 11) - Trump had a few small celebrities show up at the Republican National Convention – including actors Antonio Sabato Jr. and Scott Baio, but Hillary Clinton is bringing major star power to the Democratic National Convention this week.
Eva Longoria, Katy Perry and Lena Dunham are all expected to appear.
"Hillary Clinton has had ties to the Hollywood community since the 90's and she's kept those ties all throughout her years of campaigning for Senate and even as Secretary of State ...she knew there was a chance she'd run for office," said The Wrap Senior Reporter Itay Hod.
But will the celebs seal the deal or solidify Clinton's image as an establishment candidate?
"When we look at celebrities, we don't really think of them as establishment, we just think of them as A-list stars or D-list stars and the fact that she has so many A-list stars, if you look at the names, there's no comparison. No one even comes close," Hod said.
Hod says there is a downside to big names speakers they're often likely to go off script like Clint Eastwood did with his infamous "empty chair" speech at the 2012 Republican Convention.
