Antonio Sabato Jr. formally announces he is running for Congress

Antonio Sabato, Jr. formally announced Tuesday that he is running for Congress.

Sabato joined us on Good Day L.A. to talk about his political ambitions and shared his views about the Second Amendment in light of the Florida high school shooting, DACA and more.

The 45-year-old actor and former model will challenge Democratic Congresswoman Julia Brownley of Westlake Village.

The former soap opera star already has a website for his new political endeavor.

Sabato spoke at the Republican convention in 2016.
