The movie is reportedly about lowriders, taggers and the relationship between a boy, his traditional father and gang-banger brother. It co-stars Demian Bashir and Eva Longoria.
Longoria tweeted a photo of her and Bashir during a week-long shoot in El Sereno. The filming centered at an auto repair shop that is known in the film as Alverez and Sons Motors. In real life, it is 3C's Auto Repair.

The shop's owner Socorro Arredondo doesn't understand why some from a nearby community center are opposed to the movie being made in their neighborhood. A brief conversation with Roberto Flores from the center known as Eastside Cafe revealed his side is trying to negotiate with filmmakers too.
The photo was shot during filming last week at this repair shop. The movie has upset some people in this El Sereno neighborhood, like the man in the hat. Roberto Flores and others have put together signs bashing the filming in their neighborhood. He doesn't like the way Hollywood stereotypes people from East LA.
The Eastside Cafe apparently doesn't like Eva Longoria and her film 'Low Rider' translation of sign;there greedy . pic.twitter.com/tcqqu4Wnp7But, around the corner, Barbershop owner Enrique Aguillera couldn't have been happier the movie makers came to El Sereno. He says it helped his business and adds it's only "a movie." He went on to say, "A movie needs to be a story. The story is everything."
