World War II veterans to be honored at LA based event

-

On Saturday, our nation will take a moment to honor veterans for their patriotism and willingness to sacrifice for the common good.

There are more than 20-million living veterans according to the census and a very small percentage of them are from World War II.

A group of local veterans is on a mission to make sure “The Greatest Generation" is not forgotten.

They're from the Los Angeles chapter of the Disabled Veterans of America and some of them were in our studio.

Ron Baker is the commander of the chapter. Also being honored is 100-year old World War II veteran, Felix Jamison.

The Veterans Appreciation Dinner Honoring World War II veterans will take place on Sunday, December 10th, 2017 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown L.A.
