SANTA MONICA, Calif. (FOX 11/CNS) - A woman was shot in the thigh Thursday morning on the Santa Monica Pier, police said.
The shooting was reported about 6 a.m. near the west end of the pier, said Santa Monica police Sgt. Rudy Flores.
The woman, in her 20s, was taken to a hospital for treatment of a wound that was not life-threatening, Flores said.
No arrests were reported, and no suspect description was available.
Police closed the pier while an investigation was conducted.
Divers were searching the ocean near the pier for a possible weapon, Flores said.
