Woman kidnapped, shot and dropped off near LA hospital

A woman in her 20s was shot in the leg and dropped near LAC+USC Medical Center Monday morning after being kidnapped from a bus stop in Downey, according to the LAPD.

Police say around the young woman was found near the intersection of Cummings St. and Chicago St, behind the hospital, after being shot in the leg.

The victim was kidnapped nine-miles away near the intersection of Orange St. and Paramount Blvd in the City of Downey Sunday night, according to police.

The victim told police she was waiting at a bus stop when three to four men pulled into a brown van or truck, held a gun to her stomach and drove her around for several hours before shooting her.

A vehicle related to the incident was last seen heading westbound on Cummings St.
