Woman, baby reportedly forced into trunk in Inglewood

Inglewood Police continued searching for two men Sunday who reportedly kidnapped a woman and an infant outside an abandoned storefront store on Imperial Highway, according to witnesses.

Witnesses say it happened around 11:10 Saturday morning when the two men walked up to a woman and her baby near their car. They say the men demanded the keys to their Mercedes Benz, then shoved them both in the truck.

Witnesses say the men took off in the car.

A day and a half later, there were still no reports of a missing person.

Police are still on the prowl.

They're investigating if witness reports connect to an incident on the other side of Imperial Highway.

Big 5 Sporting Good caught two shoplifters on camera.

It happened within minutes of the kidnapping call. It's unclear if the shoplifters are involved, but the images are one of their only clues so far.

Police hope finding and speaking to the men or someone who knows them, might lead to a missing mother and baby.

Additional witnesses who knows anything are urged to contact Inglewood Police at (310) 412-5240.
