Where are the Yeezy's? Angelenos camp out for the hip sneakers

Where are the Yeezy's? That's what people want to know in Hollywood. About a dozen people are camping outside the Shoe Palace in the Melrose District in hopes of getting their hands on the latest Yeezys.

Yeezy's are an Adidas brand shoe that are designed by Kanye West and people love them. Yeezy's that retail at $380 can be re-sold for thousands.

Retired married couple Michelle and Robert Colon say that's why they're out here waiting. To get the latest styles at the cheapest prices. They consider themselves "sneakerheads."

"We have a lot." Michelle said.

Not only do they collect sneakers, they love Kanye West. That's why they made sure they were first in line for the latest Yeezy's and have already been camping on the street for five days.

"I can't wait. We've been here since Friday," Michelle said.

"I just want them for myself so it's like a trophy, I waited, I got it, I have em, I'm not selling them," Robert said.

They were notified about the potential release date (3/18) of the new Brown Adidas Yeezy Boost 750's through a tweet. They say that tweet was enough to get them in front of the store.

"Are you worried they might not be telling the truth?" FOX 11 reporter Christine O'Donnell asked.

"No, they're always accurate," Michelle replied.

Shoe Palace management put up a notice saying there are no guarantees the Yeezy's will actually be in by that time. Manager Eugene Aragon says he believes it could be months before they see a shipment.

"From the block, from what people said, [the release date] is getting pushed back, so right now people are camp out at their own risk. But, for sure we might not be getting them," Aragon said.

The Colon's say they're still going to hold out hope something will happen on the 18th.

"We'll be here till the 18th," Robert said. "Bloggers and blog, tweeters can tweet, but until Yeezy himself says they're not being released, we're not leaving. Cause he said, 'I'm going to have everybody go through hell before I release it,'" Robert said.

Bloggers are saying the shows won't be released until Summer of 2016.
