Westminster PD #cop4aday Facebook post featuring little boy goes viral

WESTMINSTER, Calif. (FOX 11) - The Facebook page belonging to the Westminster Police Department is enjoying the spotlight when a post featuring a little boy who is a fan of law enforcement goes viral.

The #cop4aday #kidsrock post featuring a little boy in uniform alongside Officer Mike Gradilla has generated more than 64,000 likes on Facebook, along with over 4,200 comments.

The viral post began when the parents of a little boy contacted the Westminster Police Department asking if their son could meet a police officer. The department responded, and parents brought the cop-to-be into the station last week and he got to share a little on duty time with Officer Gradilla.

The department's photos posted on its Facebook page quickly spread and became popular. Not just for the cuteness of the little boy all dressed up in uniform, or even the clever community outreach efforts by the department, but for what many women who commented, labeled Gradilla as "officer hotness."

"I think I am giving up on firefighters and go for a hot cop." and "I'd like to turn myself in officer Hotness" were among the many comments from women on the post.
