VIDEO: Two men rob convenience store with a shotgun in San Pedro

Los Angeles police were hoping Thursday that images they released of two unidentified armed robbery suspects who held up a San Pedro convenience store with a shotgun will bring them leads to the suspects.

About 2 a.m. March 27, the suspects entered the store in the 1500 block of North Gaffey Street and ordered the clerk to open the two cash registers.

One of the men stood by with a shotgun resting on the counter while the other jumped over the counter and took money from both registers as well as merchandise. The bandits fled on foot.

The store's exterior video surveillance camera captured the suspects running away from the store, along with one of the suspects pointing the shotgun at an oncoming vehicle before disappearing from view.

One of the suspects was described as black, about 25 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a gray beanie, black hooded sweatshirt, white T-shirt, white gloves, white-and-black basketball shorts and black sneakers.

The second suspect, who appears to be about 22 years old, is black, around 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweater, dark gloves, black pants and black-and-white sneakers.

Anyone with information about their identities or whereabouts was asked to call LAPD's Harbor Detective Acevedo at (310) 726-0675 or 911.

Tipsters can also call the LAPD's 24-hour tipline at (877) 527-3247 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
