LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - Roughly twenty USC medical students had to evacuate Wednesday night out of their brand new apartments at Currie Hall after a water main broke on the roof.
Fire crews responded at around 11:50a.m. Wednesday night and found the water pouring down five floors and into the basement.
A spokesperson for the school says five rooms were impacted and residents were put up in hotel rooms.
The large new residence hall is a brand new facility with many students just moving in over the past few days.
As crews work to dry out and repair the waterlogged areas, the spokesperson said impacted students will be given other rooms to reside in to until they can move back in.
