Two suspects sought after elderly woman tackled in Fairfax District home invasion

Police are looking Wednesday for two suspects who entered a woman's home and tackled her before making off with cash and jewelry in the Fairfax District.

The home invasion was reported around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of North Fuller Avenue, said Sgt. Patrick Welsh of the Los Angeles Police Department's Wilshire Division. The woman suffered minor injuries in the attack but did not need to be hospitalized, he said.

The robbers took cash, jewelry and a cell phone before fleeing the home, according to Welsh.

Descriptions of the suspects were not immediately available.
