Two found dead overnight in Fontana house fire

FONTANA, Calif. (FOX 11) - The bodies of two adults are found inside a Fontana home gutted by fire early Monday morning.

Crews from San Bernardino County fire responded just after 1:00a.m. to the 17700 block of Owen Street. They arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the garage with the extension into the home.

Due to strong inland winds at the time, a second alarm was called out to prevent the fire spreading to other homes.

When firefighters searched the home, they found two people dead inside. Their identity has not yet been disclosed.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
