Two deputies hospitalized after fight with suspect in La Mirada

LA MIRADA, Calif. (FOX 11) - Two deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Department were hospitalized with moderate injuries following an altercation with a man who violated his restraining order in La Mirada Monday night, authorities said.

Deputies were called to a home involving a reported family dispute in the 8100 block of Barrington Drive located near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue.

The call indicated there was a restraining order issue involving a man in his 30s.

The suspect got into a physical altercation with two arriving deputies. According to Orange County Sheriff's officials, some type of force was used. The type of force used was not immediately disclosed.

The suspect was sedated and also hospitalized.

The names of the involved deputies and suspect were not immediately released.
