Tow truck drags repossessed car through Compton streets

A wild ride through the streets of Compton on Monday afternoon after a man sees his car being repossessed.
The LA County Sheriffs Department says the man who owned the car, jumped on the back of the tow truck and tried to stop the driver.
The driver took off, speeding down streets, crashing over bumps, blowing through stop signs, and causing the car to fish tale around corners, all while the owner was holding on to the back of the tow truck trying to get him to stop.
The car’s tires eventually came off so it was being dragged around on its axel and rims causing sparks.
James Harris and his girlfriend Brittany McDonald were going to a friend's house when they saw the crazy scene unfold.
Harris shot cell phone video while Brittany was driving, and she later uploaded it to Ttwitter tagging FOX LA.
James said “we were driving, I smelled some smoke, I looked back, there was a dude on the back of a tow truck, we were driving, first he fell off, he chased the truck then he got a ride, caught up with the truck hopped back on and another joyride, grand theft auto.”
The tow truck eventually made a left turn on Long Beach Blvd, near Greenleaf and almost took out a parked car, before the Long Beach police finally pulled the truck over.
No body was injured and no other cars were damaged. The Sheriffs Departments says no charges have been filed at this time. The names of the individuals involved are being withheld by law enforcement.
