Thief caught on video stealing electronics from home in Van Nuys

Police continued their search Sunday for a man suspected of burglarizing a home in Van Nuys.

The crime occurred about 2:50 p.m. Monday in the 6500 block of Firmament Avenue, between Victory Boulevard and Vanowen Street, according to Los Angeles police.

"The suspect entered the residence by prying open the rear door and once inside, (he) removed several electronics,'' police said.

He left the scene in a silver, 2001-2005 model year car, possibly a two- door Honda Civic, police said.

The suspect is black, about 20-25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 190 pounds. He was wearing a blue shirt, black shorts and black tennis shoes.
