A small gesture from a woman in Koreatown is getting a big response online.
A Reddit user posted a photo yesterday of a woman appearing to help a man with this message, "This Korean woman cleaning a homeless mans feet this morning. Has anyone seen her? I would like to find her, and do something nice for her. 3rd and Kingsley."
Many on Reddit chimed in, either feeling inspired to pay kindness forward or wondering who the woman was.
FOX 11 wondered too and asked dozens of people if they recognize the people in the photo.
No one we spoke to had, but many had an opinion about why this picture was so powerful:
"I think a lot of people felt warm seeing someone help another homeless person. They're usually not inclined to help anyone else even regular strangers so the most someone will for a homeless person is buy them food, give them some change, but to wash their feet, that's a really nice gesture," said neighbor Bernardino Sin.
"Homlessness is such a big issue in our community and people are desperate to find something to do about it and I think a lot of people are going to take matters into their own hands, quite literally in this case," said PATH's Chief Development and Communications Officer Jeremy Sidell.
"It shows the simple side of humanity, that we will stop to take care of someone else even in the mist of our own busy and crazy lives and so I think in the midst of everything we see on TV, it reminds people to take care of one another and it reminds them to love each other," said a local social worker Chelsea War.
