Shooting in Long Beach leaves one man dead, police search for killer

A man was shot and killed in Long Beach Tuesday morning and police are searching for the killer.

Officers were sent to the 1700 block of Daisy Avenue about 2:45 a.m. on a report of a shooting, said Long Beach police Lt. Poe Siavii.

The man, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner's office reported. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.

No arrests were reported. The victim may have been riding a bike when he was shot.
