Sheriff McDonnell discusses homelessness in LA, random attacks

FOX 11 has reported on multiple random attacks in the past several weeks.

A security guard attacked by two homeless men at a McDonald's in Santa Monica, a stabbing on Hollywood Boulevard, an elderly woman left black and blue after an unprovoked attack in Koreatown, two separate hatchet attacks in Hollywood, and the list goes on.

More and more families are dealing with the aftermath of violent, random attacks by homeless men.

The most recent attack was the murder of Anthony Mele Jr. who was stabbed while having dinner with his wife and daughter and Ventura.

We spoke with Sheriff Jim McDonnell about the growing problem.
