Salute to Veterans: Costa Mesa hosts free community event to help vets

COSTA MESA, Calif. (FOX 11) - Veterans Day is on Saturday, and Costa Mesa is hosting an event called "Salute to Veterans" that will help vets in need and provide fun for the whole family.

The OC Fair & Event Center will host the free event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 11. Attendees are being asked to bring non-perishable items to donate to a food drive which will help veterans in need.

The event will also include a complimentary lunch, bounce houses and postcard project for kids, military vehicles, booths with information on services for veterans like free health screenings, job access and resources, Swing Cats band, swing dancers and more.
