Road rage scuffle in Vernon caught on dash camera

VERNON, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - A wild road rage incident is caught on video. A motorcyclist smashes out a car's windshield in Vernon. This happened Tuesday near the intersection of Downey and Bandini avenues.

Dash cam video shows a man walking up to a car, with a motorcycle helmet in his hand. He's apparently talking to the driver. Then, he punches the door a couple of times.

As he walks away...he then turns around and smashes the back windshield.

The car's driver gets out pops his trunk and grabs a hammer. He swings -- and misses -- as the motorcyclist speeds by him.

It's not clear what led up to this incident.

The person who recorded this video said that he just got the dash cam a week ago and was still learning how to use it. He didn't' know he captured the whole incident until later.

He has sent a copy of the video to police.
