Residents living in Woolsey Fire area prepare for upcoming storm

The next storm is causing concern in burn areas in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. LA County is providing free sand to residents living in the Woolsey Fire burn area.

One family has filled up about 60 sandbags to place on their Malibu property, which could be in danger if a mudslide strikes.

Caltrans officials are also worried about Decker Canyon Road and other highways within the Woolsey Fire burn zone. The last time it rained, up to four feet of mud covered cars in the area. The area only recovered from that slide less than a week ago.

Caltrans crews have been working since Wednesday to clear rocks and debris from drains ahead of the next predicted storms.
