(FOX 11) - Not only is real estate booming, but according to a new report, L.A. renters are now paying at least $136 dollars more in rent than last year.
Los Angeles came in fifth on the list of cities with the biggest dollar-by-dollar rent increases.
Rents in L.A. rose 6.3% in 2017 which is a $136 increase and California is no longer home to the fastest-growing rents in the U.S.
The top cities in California with the biggest recent gains are: Thousand Oaks coming in number three with the average rent costing $2,101 for an apartment and Los Angeles coming in at number five with an average rent of $2,282.
