For all we know Mae and Marvin Acosta could have been among those jumping for joy at a Chino Hills 7/11 when the announcement was made a winning ticket was purchased at the convenience store. It was one of three winning tickets nationally in the mid-January Powerball game.
It was a mystery for months if anyone actually had the ticket because no one had shown up. Now, they're very very rich and the Acosta's are still very mysterious.
They also said, “We are thankful and blessed for the rare gift that has been placed in our care... While many decisions are still to be made, we have committed nearly all of this new resource to a Trust and to charities that are important to us." But, they now want to be left alone!
