Police investigating shooting in Costa Mesa that left one injured

The Costa Mesa Police Department was investigating a shooting that occurred at a bar on West 19th Street in Costa Mesa on Saturday after a confrontation broke out at approximately 11:30 p.m.

The confrontation moved outside to a parking lot across the street. Police said the suspect involved used a handgun to shoot a 23-year-old man from Costa Mesa and also fired several other rounds before fleeing the scene.

CMPD arrived shortly after the incident occurred. The victim, who has not been publicly identified, received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
