Terminal 1 at LAX reopened; Bomb threat 'non credible' according to police

UPDATE: Terminal 1 at LAX is being reopened, with police saying the bomb threat turned out to be "non credible."

A "non-specific threat" prompted the evacuation of Terminal 1 at Los Angeles International Airport today.

Airport authorities received notification of the threat from the Transportation Security Administration at 1:50 p.m., said Los Angeles Airport Police Officer Rob Pederegon.

"Right now we are evacuating the terminal and conducting an investigation," he said.

The threat was "non-specific," Pederegon said, but he had no other details about how or from where it was made.
