Murder-suicide leaves three dead, including 12-month old boy

DOWNEY, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - An investigation was underway today into a reported murder-suicide in Downey that claimed the lives of three people, including a 12 month-old boy.

The bodies were discovered by the landlord of an apartment complex in the 7300 block of Neo Street around 8 p.m. Wednesday, said Downey police Lt.Mark McDaniel.

The deceased were described as a male, a female and their baby son. The landlord entered the apartment due to family concerns at not having heard from the occupants for several days.

The deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide, according to broadcast reports, but police did not immediately confirm it. "Right now, we are looking at all angles,'' McDaniel said.

There were no reports of a weapon turning up in the apartment.
