Metro's Pico station gets a one-day rename to 'Kobe Station'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - Here for the last time Wednesday night...Kobe Bryant will take the court as a member of the LA Lakers, and he's getting an unusual one-day tribute from the city's transportation agency.

To honor Bryant, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority will rename the Metro Blue/Expo Pico Station the Kobe Station for today.

The station is two blocks from Staples Center.
