Man suffers burns in large homeless encampment fire under LA freeway
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - A man suffered serious leg burns Friday in a fire that damaged several vehicles near a homeless encampment in the downtown Los Angeles area.
Firefighters sent to the 1000 block of West Washington Boulevard about 6:25 a.m. quickly extinguished the flames, and paramedics took the injured man to a hospital, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
