Man making 'terror threats' injured in hotel officer involved shooting

A 44-year-old man is now being treated at a local hospital after being injured by Ontario police in a officer-involved shooting.

The incident took place just after 9:30pm when Ontario Police were given a tip on a possible armed man "terrorist threat" at a Quality Inn hotel in Ontario.

Ontario Police responded to the hotel located at the 500 block of North Vineyard Avenue. When they arrived, officers encountered the man identified as Alfredo Armando Morales, of Pomona, who reportedly then brandished a gun at police. The officer-involved shooting then occurred.

The suspect was struck by gunfire and was taken to a local hospital where he remains listed in stable condition.

No officers were injured during the shooting.

Police reported that there were no victims were held hostage during the incident.

The investigation is still ongoing.
