Los Angeles to use special parking meters to raise money for homeless services

Several parking meters being installed throughout Downtown Los Angeles will accept donations for homeless services.

A total of six, orange meters will be installed to accept coins and ATM cards. All money put into the "Real Change" meters will go toward the program C3, a partnership between the city, county and community dedicated to help those living on the streets of LA's Skid Row.
