Lobster festival at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro

SAN PEDRO, CA - Come get your eat on with free wine tasting all weekend and enjoy 18 musical acts.There will be free parking at the 17th Annual Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival, Sept. 25, 26 and 27, is only the beginning of free things to do. The Lobster Festival is full of family friendly excitement, and kids under 12 are admitted free.

"This year there are more free things to do at the Lobster Festival, starting the moment you drive into the parking lot" said Jim Hall, President of International Lobster Festivals, Inc., producers of the Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival. "Starting with free parking, free Red Car rides and free admission for kids under 12, we have filled the festival with free attractions like a lobster line dancing flashmob, hit and run hula dancing flashmobs, an interactive exhibit from the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, Pole Championship Series (PCS) Athletes demonstrations. roaming stilt walkers, and Ford Motor Company will be exhibiting a selection of their latest models. For adults there will be free wine tasting all weekend from Cupcake Vineyards and Rex Goliath wine." And last but not least 18 great bands.

"There is no better entertainment and dining bargain than the Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival," said Hall. "We deliver a day of dynamic family entertainment and a delicious fresh cooked lobster meal for less than the meal would cost in a restaurant. Any one of our 18 music acts would cost you at least $20.00 or more to see in a club, but at the lobsterfest they are free with the price of admission."

Admission is $10.00 for adults, kids under 12 get in free. $1.00 discount admission coupons are widely available and even downloadable at lobsterfest.com (cash only accepted at the box office). Conveniently located at the end of the 110 Harbor Freeway, parking and shuttle buses are free. 2014 festival hours are: 5 pm to 11 pm, Friday, September 25; 11 am to 11 pm, Saturday, September 26; 11 am to 7 pm, Sunday, September 27.

The Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival is sponsored by the Port of Los Angeles, Budweiser, Alt 98.7, YELP!, OC Weekly. The festival has raised over $275,000 for local charities. Principal non-profit beneficiaries of the 2015 Lobster Festival are Harbor Interfaith Services, and the San Pedro Rotary Club.

10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Car 1058 (10 a.m. start for cruise ship)
3 p.m. - 11 p.m. Car 501

Saturday:
11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Car 1058
3 p.m. - 11 p.m. Car 501

Sunday:
11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Both cars
